Release of LSAY 2008 data
New data for the active Longitudinal Surveys of Australian Youth (LSAY) cohorts are collected on an annual basis. The data are then added to the respective data sets and lodged with the Australian Social Science Data Archive (ASSDA) around the middle of the year.
The latest LSAY data collected from the 2008 interviews for the Y98, Y03 and Y06 cohorts are now available. 2009 interviews are underway for the Y98, Y03 and Y06 cohorts.
Data dictionaries
The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) is updating the LSAY technical documentation into a single source document for each cohort. In the interim, the existing technical documentation is still available at Technical papers and NCVER will be producing interim codebooks and frequency counts until all data dictionaries are complete. The schedule for release of these data dictionaries is:
- Y95 Published 3 July 2009
- Y98 Published 18 December 2009
- Y03 Early 2010
- Y06 Mid 2010
