Registering for the NCVER or LSAY websites
How do I register for the NCVER or LSAY website?
Registration to the NCVER or LSAY website is straightforward and can be done quickly.
Simply click on the Register link, located at the top right corner of both websites. This will take you to the Register and subscribe page. Here, you enter your details and you can subscribe to our free newsletters and email alerts. Once you have completed the form, scroll to the bottom and when you’re ready, click the submit button.
Why do I need to register for the NCVER or LSAY website?
We have introduced this service to provide you with information in a more timely manner, with our new ‘day of release’ alerts. It also gives you access to the full text of reports, support documents, technical documents, questionnaires and data on both websites, and some products listed within the Resources section on the NCVER website.
For us, the new service will provide valuable data on the information our customers use (who uses what).This will help us develop new products in the future.
Do I have to register for both websites?
No, you don’t have to register for both websites. By registering on either the NCVER or the LSAY website, you are automatically registered for both.
Why does my registration cover both the NCVER and LSAY websites?
NCVER is contracted by the Australian Government to provide analytical and reporting services for LSAY and this includes management of the LSAY website.
Do I have to pay to register to the NCVER or LSAY websites?
No, registration to the NCVER and LSAY websites is free. The information that you access and can download also remains freely available.
What information can I access without registering for the NCVER or LSAY website?
You are able to browse and search both websites without registering. You will only be asked to log in (or register if you have not done so) when you wish to download the full text of reports, support documents, technical documents, questionnaires and data on both websites, and some products listed within the Resources section on the NCVER website.
How do I cancel my registration?
To cancel your registration you will need to click on Cancel my registration at the bottom of your profile page. Simply enter your email address in the login box located at the top right corner of both websites and click on the Update profile link. You will have to enter your password to access your personal details.
What does Remember me mean?
Remember me is a function that remembers your email login and status. If you tick the Remember me box when you log in and close your browser without logging out, you will still be logged in when you next visit the website. If you log out before you leave the website, when you next visit the website your browser will display your email address ready for you to click on the login box.
To disable Remember me untick the box and log in, then log out.

What do I get for registering for the NCVER or LSAY websites?
Registration for the NCVER and LSAY websites gives you access to the full text of reports, support documents, technical documents, questionnaires and data on both websites, and some products listed within the Resources section on the NCVER website. It also includes subscriptions to our newsletters, Insight and NCVER News, and email alerts.
How do I subscribe to receive free email alerts and/or newsletters?
To subscribe to our ‘day of release’ email alerts or our newsletters, Insight or NCVER News, you must first register on either the NCVER or LSAY website (one registration covers both websites).
When registering you will be able to select the email alerts and newsletters you would like to subscribe to.
If you are already registered, you can subscribe to email alerts and newsletters by clicking on the Update profile link. Enter your password to access your profile. When you access your profile page, scroll down the page to the Subscribe to email alerts and newsletters section. Once you have selected the email alerts and newsletters you wish to receive click on the submit button.
How do I unsubscribe from receiving free email alerts and/or newsletters?
To stop receiving email alerts or newsletters you will need to log in to either the NCVER or LSAY websites and then click on the Update profile link. Your profile page will display your current subscriptions. Simply click on the email alert or newsletter you wish to unsubscribe from and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the submit button.
Personal details, privacy and confidentiality
What personal information do I have to provide?
The only personal information required for registration is your email address, name and your nominated user group category. This personal information is collected to help NCVER improve its websites and the services it provides to users.
Is my personal information secure?
NCVER takes all reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Why do I need a password?
Your password protects your personal details and you will only be required to use your password when you wish to update your profile or change your subscriptions.
What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, log in using your registered email address and click on the Update profile link. Click on the link I have forgotten my password and enter your registered email address when requested. A new default password will then be emailed to this address. As your password protects your personal information we recommend you change the default password to something more meaningful to you.
What is NCVER’s Privacy Policy?
The respective NCVER and LSAY privacy policies may be viewed on the NCVER website and the LSAY website.
Will you provide my personal details to a third party?
NCVER does not sell its mailing lists to third parties, or disclose personal information to third parties, except for the sole purpose of performing an activity on behalf of NCVER.
Will you send me information other than what I’ve subscribed to receive?
NCVER will only send you information that you have subscribed to if you ticked the box regarding additional information at the bottom of your profile page. If you did not tick this box, you may receive additional information from NCVER.
